grad skool blues

Posted by with 10 comments

i got the grad skool blues.
G.S. is advancing to the doctorate level and
me.. well, having a FURRY hard time keeping up.

let's just say.. now that doggies are kinduv off-leash
to do more agilities  has made it a little much fur a MONSTAH girl.

 ya know.
little wandering white fuzzie doggies heading in my direction
who don't have the best recall.
or
sometimes the beans/owners in class forget
i need a certain amount of 'space'
like when i'm one of the weave poles in an activity
or
when we practice socializing and have to find a partner to buddy walkies
with-nordude is the only one who'll be my buddy
and
quite frank & beanly, i'm not so much an 'agilities' girl.
(woo've seen how much i sleep, right!)

Soo..  post grad skool decompression- recovery time is a must.
what bettah place than the beach!

yep yep.. found this cool like park/beach on a lake
(besides mom wants to show off her fav new iphone app called
woo guessed it: Shake it (off) photo)

in the water checking out the view across the lake- awroo!

clear, cool spa fur the toe toes
pawfect!

and the facial

lookies, still touching the bottom!

not toola big 2 fit in the frame!
blahahaha.

comtemplating a napballz...
okay, songs ovah.

until next time (saturday! yikes!)

have a WOOnderful week,

hi bloggiepals,

you heard it right.. got myself a date!
with the one & only relentlessly huge MANGO!

Actually his momma arranged it ..
guess she thought he'd like my large muscle butt.
luckily my photo/videographer assistant, my Aunt Bee (norwood's mommie)
was available to record this major event. yeah!

there were a few other chaperones too.
like Paul the training dude from grad skool.
and both our mommas. geesh.. talk about baggage. no fun!

luv at first sight? or at first bite?
trainer dude thought we should start slow & far apart.
i was trying to luv eye him up. check him up & down.
nevah see anything quite like him before.
guess he's kinda cute.

(live-action version click here)
training note: click & treated for looking at each other calmly

but the boy only had luvie eyes for his momma.

you could tell the paul trainerdude was trying to figure him out...

and i couldn't figure him out either.
what does a girl have to do to get noticed!

so onto plan b:
i'll tell him how i feel!

there! i'll puff & crumble my lippers at him.
except this only means one thang.

watch out --starting to bubble ovah.
come on- stop looking at your momma~
then.. a few choice hbo words may have popped out.
on accident oops. (not lady-like)

but obviously bubbling ovah means somethang quite different for the Mango.
i think he's excited.. i mean he shows it in a whole other way.
not sure i'm ready for that- yikes.

guess what? as we got closer..
out came the Mango Luv Song.

click on the photo 4 live action or here.
geepers he hams it up for the camera.

 everything was going good.
until this floof entered the picture.
who invited her?
really? a threesome on a first date-! as if!

all of sudden ..an encore performance took place.
not for me. nope. for miss floofie tail.
(4 live action- click here)

i mean i can look past the sudz,
and his crayon,
and being a momma's boy.

this was most upsetting.
i showed him all my tulaness.. what gives?

so we ended the date there.
i left him a couple more messages outside.
yep!

and then his momma said.. we'll cya in grad skool tula!
bye mango.

oh well..
Massachewsitz boys can't handle a girl from brooklyn.
there's other mangos in the tree.

Training Blog #9- a new plan

Untitled

i've been biddy biddy. let me back it up to about a month ago when i took a trip to Animal Rescue League of Boston. Ruh rooo.. what's going on? i haven't been that bad have i??

actually i met Dr. D'Arpino, a veterinarian behaviorist (gulp gulp) who is guiding us in my 'behavior' plan--ookay! well, the appointment didn't involve needles, thermometers, or stuff like that.. all i heard for about an hour was:

blah blah blah TULA blah blah Lots of treats blah blah blah WALKIES GRR GRR at DOGGIES... blah blah blah NEW ROWDY CLASS..blah blah blah SLEEPY..

Then finally someone paid attention to me. Dr. D'Arpino introduced me to 3 doggies with a baby gate between us. A little guy, a medium guy, and a big Mastiff. The Mastiff who supposedly is always calm.. started reacting to me before I even met him- as if!

Anyway, that's when the diagnosis came: she said i am highly reactive due to anxiety and I am not reading or understanding doggie body language especially when calming signals are being used. BUT, my prognosis is fair to very good to be able to interact other pups if I work on these things.

The master plan:

1- continue training class- duh
2- nothing in life is free philosophy. (meaning i have to work for everything)
3- increase mental stimulation- huh?
4- medication to reduce anxiety- we'll give it a try.
5- start training with non-reactive doggies. those who can give me good calming signals.
any volunteers? :)

so... here's how #2 and #3 are being implemented now. Meet Mr. Kibble Ball!
change is hard....is it really necessary?

someone's even got a catittude.until..

ok, i must admit.. i LUV my kibbleball. i start drooling just looking at it:)
maybe this will work- i'll go along with it for now.

The Patriots game is on.. bye!

meditating in progress

Posted by with 17 comments
today's the start of 'summah school'-- ruffian dog training class. kinduv nervous ..it's back to class with an old instructor. haven't seen Paul in ovah a year & 1/2. thought i should do a little quick studying before class. of course i turned to the animal planet. there must be something on about dog training.

all of this has got me nervous.

maybe some deep meditation (got the idea from our pal, Mango) will help. he's a deep thinker & thought, hey look what it's done for him..

After class, time to drop off birfday gifts to our goofball cuzin, Norwood. He is officially in his terrible twos.

Here's a clue it's green, hops, & makes him coocoo.
hope he likes it!

Be sure to sniff ovah
to other furripals

at
PET PRIDE too!

cya latah,
